Choose accredited when recognition matters
Accredited certification is the safer default for customer requirements, tenders, procurement systems and international trade. Always check the exact contract or tender wording before ordering.
What accredited means on GCM
The certification route is sourced through a certification body accredited for the applicable activity by an accreditation body participating in the relevant Global ACI MRA scope. Global Cert Market does not accredit or make certification decisions.
When non-accredited may fit
A non-accredited certificate can be used as a private assessment or marketing route where formal recognition is not required. It must remain clearly labelled and should not be presented as equivalent to accredited certification.
The terminology changed
Since January 1, 2026, international accreditation recognition previously operated through IAF/ILAC is provided through the Global ACI MRA. Customers may still encounter older wording in procurement documents.
